Journal 3

When we were young my family lived in California, Ohio.We lived near my grandparents home, and within walking distance of Coney Island. In the summer my family would meet up and we would walk to Coney. Coney was beautiful back in the day. They had a beautiful floral clock, in the front entry way. the flowers were radiant. The flowers smelled of ornate phrases. Of course they had roller coasters, I was afraid to ride the "Come on ride it one time",said Cherrie, and of course they would get me on it. I would scream my tonsil's out every time. Coney used to have photo booths, do you remember those? You know the ones where you make goofy faces, then change places and make hideouse faces. We can look back at those photos now and laugh, those are good memories. Recalling the ferris wheel, the lights so dazzeling, in the night sky. How when you're a child it seems so hugh rising up to the starlit sky. They would have celebrities up ther and one time I got Nick Clooney autograph. My family has great memories of old Coney. That is why Coney will always hold a place in my heart. Tina Holmes
