Journal 1 by Eric Crossty

My name is Eric Crossty and this is my fourth term here at Miami Jacobs Career College. When it comes to my personal writing skills, I would grade myself with a C average, which in my eyes is not bad at all. I love to place my thoughts on paper but there are certain forms of writing that I can not click with. Writing about a topic that I have researched is one of my weakess areas. One of my strengths in writing is my choice of words that I use to paint a vivid picture to a reader. The areas I could use more help with is being more creative in my thoughts. My writing goals for this quarter is to be more creative in my writing to where I can impress my instructor. The most positive writing experience I've experienced is when I scored the highest on the Ohio Proficiency Test in middle school. I remember in Mrs. Whitley last quarter, she wanted us to write an explanatory paper as our final paper, it was the worst one I have ever wrote. I had to edit my paper more than seven times it was horrible.
