Amanda Griffin- Journal 4

It was a warm summer afternoon and Kaylee and her best friend Angie were packing for a weekend trip to a cabin in the deep woods of Ohio. They were both really excited because both of their boyfriends would be joining them, and this was the first trip they were all having together.

Kaylee didn't know that much information about the cabin just that it was far into the woods and there were no othere cabins around. All four of them packed into her jeep and drove up the mountains and through dark wooded areas. At times it was so dark driving through that Kaylee had to turn her headlights on to see even in broad daylight. They finally arrived at dark wooded cabin.

When Angie and Kaylee got out of the jeep they were hit in the face with the smell of hot garbage. They ignored the smell and asked Joey and Sam to get the bags out. As they walked up the wooden steps of the porch each step creaked and craked like they would break at any time. The door was unlocked and everyone walked in the smell was worse inside. There was a large dark brown stain in the middle of the family room floor. The cabin was old and very dirty. Angie said "So much for a romantic weekend." "Yeah really" said Kaylee.

As it started to grow dark the girls sent the guys for wood for a fire. Joey and Sam ventured off through the woods to find firewood. Sam suggested they split up and meet back at the cabin. Joey over a small hill to find what appeared to be a light shinning through the trees. He thought that maybe if he could get wood near the light he would be able to see better to cut the wood. As he got closer the light faded and he heard footsteps getting closer. He assumed it was Sam and yelled out "Sam" no answer. He turned around and was struck across the neck with an ax. His body fell to the ground with blood oozing from where his head once was.

Now heading back to the cabin with arm's full of wood Sam went inside to find that Joey haden't came back yet. He and the girls decided to go look for him. The three of them started off into the woods with one flashlight. Walking along Kaylee tripped over some sticks and found herself staring dead into the eyes of headless Joey. She screamed with horror, Angie and Sam saw what she was screaming at and they all ran for their lives. As Angie was running Sam noticed she stopped dead in her tracks and was just staring with a clueless look on her face. Sam yelled out at her "Ang don't stop now hurry up babe." He then noticed there was an arrow sticking out of her back and she dropped to the the ground. Kaylee was screaming all the way back the cabin and hadent even noticed that her best friend has just been killed. Sam noticed the killer running straight for him. He took off running and met up with Kaylee at the cabin. At this point Kaylee was already inside searching for the keys to the jeep. She found them laying on the bed and took off outside toward the jeep.

She got the door open only to hear the slaying of Sam on the otherside of the jeep. She screamed horrificaly and jumped in the jeep, she immediately locked the doors and started the engine. The killer at this point was standing infront of the jeep. The only thought Kaylee had was to step on the gas as hard as she could. The killer fell to the ground and she put it in reverse and ran over him a 2nd time and drove off.

A week later Kaylee saw in the newspaper that only 3 bodies were found at the scene. As she stared at what she just read, she knew that this was not over yet.
