Fingernail polishing By: Shante' Berry

Women polish their nails probably before going on a date, to a party, or just for fun. Some women also get their fingernails repainted every time the paint is chipping or every other week when the color gets old. How easy is this process really? When women polish their nails those that are right handed might find it easier to paint there left hand and hard to paint their right hand, and those that are left handed might find it easier to paint their right hand and hard to paint their left.

Whichever the case maybe, polishing your own fingernails can get a bit frustrating at times. The first frustrating part of polishing your nails is the color. A woman might not know exactly what color she wants, and when she does decide she has to decide on the particular shade of color she wants. For example, a women might choose pink. She has to then decide on the shades of pink; hot pink, magenta, fuchsia, mauve and so on.

Once the color and shade has been selected, then the polishing process begins. Right handers will begin polishing their left hand, and left handers will start polishing their right hands. This might be the easy step for everyone because their using their hand that they are most comfortable with. Once that step is complete then the opposite hand must be painted and that is a hard step. Painting the opposite hand is tough because your hand starts shaking, you get the polish on the skin, you forgot a spot, etc.

Once that part is passed, then it's time to let them dry for about three minutes and begin your second coat. Once you have added your second coat and let them dry for three minutes then you must add your base clear and final coat.

To get over the fear of messing up the hand that you are not comfortable with, you can have someone else do that hand for you, or keep practicing with it until you feel more comfortable in doing it all by yourself.
